science Seeds

science Seeds is a science enrichment program that seeks to engage children in discovering the mysteries of the world we live in. We offer after-school classes, camps and science-themed birthday parties in an inviting, nurturing, family-friendly environment.
 
science Seeds strives to motivate and engage young minds, encourage out-of-the-box thinking and promote the natural acquisition of a scientific vocabulary. Our activities dispel the myth that science is difficult and inaccessible, demonstrate to parents and kids that science is a part of their everyday experience and engage parents and their children in an ongoing process of exploration and discovery. We help children understand that getting wrong answers is part of discovering the right ones.
 
We take the kids beyond the "Wow" of an impressive but mysterious demonstration to the "Aha!" of understanding how it happens, and then applying their new knowledge to do something really "Cool". Our workshops and activities are all hands-on and involve either specific challenges or the building of a project (most often a toy). Activities are geared towards children in K-5th grade. Accommodations can be made for simpler projects for ages 3 & 4 years old.
